DSJ Group: Health and Safety Policy
1. Policy Statement
DSJ Group is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, contractors, clients, visitors, and others who may be affected by our operations. We aim to maintain the highest standards of health and safety in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation.
2. Objectives
- To provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work.
- To ensure all employees are adequately informed, trained, and supervised to carry out their work safely.
- To prevent accidents and work-related ill health through proactive risk management.
- To continuously improve health and safety performance through regular review and feedback.
3. Responsibilities
- Directors and Senior Management are responsible for ensuring that adequate resources and systems are in place to implement this policy effectively.
- Managers and Supervisors must ensure that health and safety procedures are followed and that staff receive appropriate training.
- All Employees have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others affected by their actions. Employees must cooperate with the company on health and safety matters and report any hazards or concerns.
4. Risk Assessment
Risk assessments will be carried out for all activities and regularly reviewed. Control measures will be implemented and monitored to ensure risks are effectively managed.
5. Training
Health and safety training is provided at induction and on an ongoing basis to ensure employees are competent in their roles. Specialist training is provided as necessary.
6. Consultation
We encourage open communication and consultation with staff regarding health and safety issues through regular meetings, updates, and feedback mechanisms.
7. Monitoring and Review
Health and safety performance will be monitored regularly through inspections, audits, and incident investigations. This policy will be reviewed annually or following significant changes to legislation or our operations.
8. Emergency Procedures
Emergency procedures, including fire evacuation and first aid, are clearly communicated to all staff. Adequate first aid provisions and fire safety arrangements are maintained at all sites.
9. Policy Availability
This policy is available to all employees, contractors, and clients. It is displayed in prominent locations and available upon request.
